THREE HOURS AFTER EXPERIMENT
I can’t believe how severely I blundered here! I made the sort of mathematical error that a physicist is not supposed to make, and on such a momentous and historical project at that! I’ve gone through the calculations, and it turns out that instead of sending me thirty seconds into the future, the machine has somehow sent me over 12,000 years into the past! What did I do to deserve this?
I just don’t get it. Tossing in the rock worked fine. Tossing in the plant worked fine. Tossing in the lizard worked fine. So what went differently with me? Was there a coincidental last- second power surge? Does the fabric of reality bend differently in the presence of sapience than non-spaience? Was it mere difference in mass? What went wrong?
I suppose it doesn’t matter anymore. I’m left out in the wild, and human civilization isn’t even invented yet let alone within reach. For all I know I might be the only human this continent will see for centuries.
All my work is gone. All my friends are gone. Every show I’ve watched, every book I’ve read, every song I’ve listened to is now gone. I shall never know any of the joys I knew in my old life again!
All there is for me now is survival. They kept telling me that one day I’d regret not paying attention to the lessons in the scout camp, I just never thought they’d actually turn out to be right. The only reason I’m even keeping this journal is to pass the time and retain my sanity.
…but part of me still wonders what the future has in store…

This is starting out really well! Youre really good at capturing the reader's interest, I want MORE!
Only thing I got stuck at was the "it was supposed to send me 3 seconds Into the future". I think you could increase that into at least 10 minutes, 3 seconds is a bit hard to meassure since its pretty much what it takes to actually press the button and look at the clock
